Description

We're offering our home for rent. We are looking for one additional GMU graduate student for next year to rent the small bedroom with a shared bathroom.  The other rooms are fully rented to GMU graduate students.  All grad students are male, but all are welcome.

The small, private, bedroom is just over 100 square feet, about 10ft x 11ft, not including the small closet.  It has a window, lots of light, and overlooks our private courtyard.  It shares a full bathroom with a tub with the adjacent tenant in their own private medium sized bedroom.  It fits a twin bed, desk and chair comfortably.

The master has an en suite on the top floor, with shower and toilet seperate from the vanity in two rooms. In other words a large sink vanity that is seperate. This room also has two large closets. Lastly, it has lots of light and windows. The master is about 400 square feet in total.

There are two additional bedrooms which share a bath on the top floor, with a tub. The first room is about 200 square feet, and the second room is about 100. These room can be rented seperately, with a twin bed in the smaller room and a queen or king in the larger room.  They have also been rented together, so that a person can have a seperate office or study room.

In the basement, there are two large rooms and a kitchenette. The basement living room can be used as a bedroom, and has private keys and locks. It opens to the courtyard and is about 300 square feet. The basement bedroom has a large window with an egress and is about 200 square feet. The basement shares one full bath.  The basement can be rented by two people or one person, where they can enjoy the entire basement for themselves.

The basement has a shared onsite laundry and mini-kitchenette. The area is shared for laundry, but the storage and general use is for whomever lives in the basement.

This house is shared with GMU graduate PhD students. You're not sharing a crowded home here, but plenty of space for everyone with lots of privacy. Each room has keyed privacy locks.

The main level has lots of light, stainless appliances and hardwood floors throughout. The 1/2 bath is also shared on the level. The main level is currently furnished, but those furnishings can be removed if someone would like to rent the entire home and use their own furniture.

Right out front of the unit is the cue bus. The Cue bus will take you to the Vienna metro, or it’s just a short drive. You're a few minute walk to GMU, very close. Old Town Fairfax is also right here, where you can walk to everything, including shopping and dining. Very high walkability scores. We also offer access to the small community pool, off street parking and of course the onsite laundry. 

This unit is offered with for a one year lease, although many grad students and professionals have revewed for the length of their grad school. There is a shared utility cost. The utility cost includes a professional cleaning service every two weeks, water, gas, electric, sewer, and highest tier internet with wifi.  We can do longer leases for new graduate students.

Lease is Aug 1, 2025 - July 31 2026

In addition, the unit is available now for a sublet until July 31, 2025.  The current renter has moved out, but will happily allow anyone to take over part of the remaining lease.
